SINTERED POLYSTYRENE FOAM IS A RIGID, LIGHT, SELF-EXTINGUISHING PLASTIC FOAM WITH LOW WATER ABSORPTION AND HIGH HEAT INSULATION POWER SINTERED POLYSTYRENE FOAM is used for insulating roofs and walls. It can be coldbonded with adhesives, whereas bonding with melted bitumen must occur when the bitumen has cooled sufficiently. For coverings with a torched membrane, the material must be appropriately protected. For roofs, the ENERGY SAVING system is recommended. It is based on the use of heatadhesive membranes (TECTENE BV STRIP) for the vapour barrier, and of self-heat-adhesive membranes (AUTOTENE BASE and AUTOTENE PRO/V) for the first layer over the panel (consult the specific publications).
